Our next meeting is on WEDNESDAY February 21, 2018 – 6:30 p.m. at Veil at the Silverton Hotel Casino and will be a special event for the week of Presidents Day 2018! “Thomas Jefferson and Viticulture” will be presented by Gabriele Rausse, the Director of Gardens and Grounds at Monticello, Thomas Jefferson’s home in Charlottesville, VA. Join us as we follow the oenological adventures of our third president – and first distinguished viticulturist – sipping delicious wines from France and Virginia along the way! Gabriele Rausse has been planting vines and making wines in Virginia for more than 40 years, and has been called “The Father of the Modern Virginia Wine Industry”. This is a rare opportunity to spend an evening with a talented winemaker whose unparalleled knowledge of Thomas Jefferson as a farmer, scientist, and oenophile come together in an event not to be missed! Tasting fee for members is $12 per person and $20 per couple.  Non-member fee is $16 per person.  CASH ONLY!  Please also bring your own wine glasses.  Please bring an appetizer and wine to share with the group.  Please RSVP by sending an email to membership@elvvaws.org, through our Facebook event, or though this event. If you have any questions please email membership@elvvaws.org.  Cheers!
