We're ranging far and wide on this week's free weekend tastings. You'll have the chance to learn the "Secret" of a great value Washington state Cabernet, try a WA 97 point Cab sibling, and revel in the newest release of the Louis Michel Chablis.

And, for Italian fans, a special treat. If you love Barolo, Barbaresco, and other great Piemonte reds made from the majestic Nebbiolo grape, you regularly face two big problems: the wines are too expensive to drink casually and they need to cellar for years before they really delight.

So this weekend, we're pouring a vintage 2010 Nebbiolo - ready to drink! - with plenty of pedigree - try 93 points from Wine Enthusiast - that will cost you a whopping $20. It's a wine you really need to taste to believe. And taste it you can this weekend! We'll pour:

Dom Louis Michel Chablis 2016 - The latest edition of this long-time Chardonnay favorite is destined to be...well, a favorite again! At once zesty and rich and very fun to drink.

Secret Squirrel Columbia Valley Bordeaux Blend 2014 - The big secret here is that this is the second wine of Corliss Estate in Washington. Once we start pouring it, there will be no hushing up how delicious it is!

Corliss Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley 2012 - If we're going to taste the second wine, might as well show off the first! This Wine Advocate 97 point powerhouse still needs some time to open up and shine, but we'll take a peak right now.

Anzivino Gattinara 2010 - Barolo and Barbaresco's Nebbiolo grape shines brightly in this Wine Enthusiast 93 point example from the rolling hills of nearby Gattinara. Now seven years from harvest, this is nicely maturing although still has plenty of life. It's shockingly good for Gattinara. The sub-$20 price is more shocking still!

We'll have some light snacks out to enjoy with the wines and plenty of good company and cheer. We hope you'll join us Friday from 3-7pm and Saturday noon-4!
