One of the greatest whiskey authors of our generation, Michael Jackson, often visited our offices. That was back “in the day” when our old building (127 S. 22nd Street) was still occupied by his publisher, Running Press. This class is one of the ways we celebrate his legacy.

A bit of sauced education, this class features everything you ever wanted to know about whiskey but were afraid to ask: From whiskey cocktails to food pairings, to its smokey history. This is the class for lovers of bourbon, scotch, and rye.

At the Wine School, we focus on quality over quantity. Each wine list is curated by a top sommelier-instructor and often features rare bottles from the Director's private cellar. Just as important, the School does not promote or accept funds from national wine brands. This makes our offerings unique, not just in Philadelphia, but throughout the United States.

Along with our unique wine education classes, the Wine School offers a full academic schedule, including a diploma program. We have administered our program for over a decade and have developed courses for major universities. Graduates go on to become winemakers, sommeliers, authors, and industry leaders.
