Twenty-Two of the leading “Natural” winemakers in France and Italy will present a public tasting, sponsored by Chambers Street Wines and Louis/Dressner Selections, on Saturday, April 19th, from 4 to 8:00pm, at Le Cercle Rouge Restaurant in Tribeca. These winemakers offer an alternative to “international-style” vinification and the physical and chemical interventions done at the vast majority of modern wineries. Their vineyards are farmed sustainably or organically, harvesting is by hand, fermentations are with wild yeasts and the aging and bottling is done with the least intervention possible, giving wines with the maximum expression of the grapes, the terroir and and the vintage. Reservations not required, $5.00 glass fee at the door (you keep the glass). Le Cercle Rouge Restaurant 241 West Broadway. For more information please call Chambers Street Wines (212) 227-1434.
