Tal-Massar Winery
This small family buisness offers a warm welcome and a friendly service to guests. Our wines are produced from our private estate which covers an area of about 1.3 hectares of land. Till now we have 2 different varieties of grapes mainly Sircusian (a.k.a. Nero D'Avola) and Sangiovese. The vineyard is located in a very tranquil location in Gharb which is in the western part of the island of Gozo. It is on a hill at about 400 feet above sea level and offers breathtaking views overlooking the sea. Our wine production is limited to 5000 bottles per year and is supervised by our Oenologist Mr.Roger Aquilina. He studied in Germany (Geisenheim) under the tutorship of Prof. Karl Wucherpfennig, with over 30 years experience in the sector. Visitors are offered a tour around the vineyard and wine tasting of dfferent vintages accompanied by some Gozitan homemade finger foods.
