Rosenthal-The Malibu Estate and Surfrider Wines
Rosenthal – The Malibu Estate wines are from grapes grown in Malibu, not on the famous beach, but in a scenic valley four miles from the coast, 1,400-feet up, above the coastal fog, in the AVA Malibu Newton Canyon. George Rosenthal, owner of movie studios, hotels, and other enterprises, first planted vineyards at his 250 acre estate in 1987, after spending two years checking soil and weather conditions to make sure he planted the correct varietals in the correct locations. 32 acres of hillside vines are now planted in this unique micro-climate. Surfrider Wines are the newest addition to Rosenthal - The Malibu Estate. The grapes for our Surfrider wines are sourced everywhere from Malibu to Monterey and celebrate the California beach lifestyle. A portion of the proceeds for each bottle sold goes to the Surfrider Foundation - a grassroots, non-profit, environmental organization that works to protect our oceans, waves, and beaches. Tours of our private estate are available by appointment only. Cantara Cellars, Winery and Tasting Room
Cantara Cellars is a local winery with tasting room producing a broad selection of award-winning red and white wines. Located in the heart of Ventura County, we're just a short drive from where ever you are. Our winery specializes in producing wines that express both our passion for making fine wines, and our enjoyment of the distinctive flavors found in Lodi grapes. Shai: The Hebrew word for Gift. I started Shai Cellars in 2008. My focus is making hand crafted small production boutique wines with care and attention to quality and detail.
