Tom DiNardo has worked in the wine industry in both California and Washington. With a reverence for the grape, Tom continues his passionate pursuit today as a wine consultant and educator who teaches others about oenology and wine collecting. Mr. DiNardo is a sommelier diplomate with the International Sommelier Guild and a member of the Society of Wine Educators. He is a freelance writer for Wine Enthusiast, Decanter, and Santé Magazines, and is a regular contributor to Wine Squire.com. I was born into a family of occasional beer, rye and Manischewitz drinkers and certainly abused myself with hard liquor as a teenager, but was really bitten by the wine bug in university, when different red Côtes-du-Rhône prompted an ongoing investigation of why one could taste so much better than another.
