A circuitous, tangential, but magnetic path has led Mike to Oregon. A native of the Chicago area, Mike cut his teeth in wine education working as the Sommelier at a restaurant devoted to the wines of the Northwest and then as an instructor at the Le Cordon Bleu. Mike worked harvest in 2008 & 2009 and it was preordained; the fates had indeed spoken, and loudly. Now Mike is settling in, purchasing wet weather gear, learning not to pump his own gas, and feeling a sense of enormous well-being.
