Piedmont Epicurean Arts Center

Collaborative education of our stewards for a sustainable rural economy. It seems like a simple and straightforward mission statement. But what does it really mean? It means that in order for the next generation of people to be responsible for the land and the bounty that comes from it, they need to be educated. Not just things learned from books, they need to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty. That’s the collaborative part. However, the most important part may be “a sustainable rural economy”. Being able to grow food or craft items from the land around you doesn’t make a difference unless people can make a living and help each other make a living from the land, not just today, but tomorrow as well.
