Tom DiNardo - The Wine Zealot
Tom DiNardo has worked in the wine industry in both California and Washington. With a reverence for the grape, Tom continues his passionate pursuit today as a wine consultant and educator who teaches others about oenology and wine collecting. Mr. DiNardo is a sommelier diplomate with the International Sommelier Guild and a member of the Society of Wine Educators. He is a freelance writer for Wine Enthusiast, Decanter, and Santé Magazines, and is a regular contributor to Wine Squire.com. Tom is a featured auctioneer for Chicago based ERI wine auction gallery, and has sold some of the finest and rarest wines from around the world. Mr. DiNardo is also a certified master appraiser (ISA-AM & MPPA)and prior to his wine immersion experience, Tom DiNardo founded DiNardo & Lord Auctioneersin 1993. Scott Harper, MS, CWE
Teaching wine since 1999. Through a series of lively lectures and informative tasting sessions learn about the various wine areas being taught. Classes include The Wines Of France, The Wines Of Italy, The Wines Of Spain, The Wines Of Australia, The Wines Of California and more! Mr. Harper has obtained the highest level of recognition of the Society of Wine Educators by achieving the Certified Wine Educator (CWE) credential, which acknowledges an exceptional standard of both academic knowledge an and sensory capability in the field of wine. This is the highest level of recognition of the Society of Wine Educators, yet his education continued. There are four separate levels and exams that must be passed before becoming a “Master Sommelier,” and Harper has passed the final diploma exam in July of 2009. This is his considered by many the ultimate professional wine accomplishment.
