B. Rioja, Priorat
The only two regions approved to carry the highly respected DOCa (Vinos de Denominación de Origen Calificada) are Rioja (April 1991) and Priorat (Dec 2000). DOCa laws are very restrictive as to vineyard and winery procedures and practices insuring overall quality of the wines from the regions.
