Red Wine

What is the best tasting Italian red wine sold in the United States? Thanks
Answer From Expert Roger Bohmrich MW

This is an impossible question to answer! First, as to "best tasting," that's a subjective question, and my preference may differ from yours. Second, there are countless fabulous Italian red wines available in the US, and they come from many regions. While the list is much more extensive, a starting place for top wines would be: Piedmont (Barolo & Barbaresco); Lombardy (Valtellina); Tuscany (Brunello, Chianti Classico & so many others); Veneto (Amarone); Umbria (Torgiano Riserva); Campania (Taurasi)...we could go on and on!
