Q&A: Wine & Food Questions

Wine refrigeration
Carlo Rossi burgendy jug of wine says refrigerate after opening. Is this necessary to prevent spoilage?
Answer From Expert Roger C. Bohmrich, MW
I can only guess that the winery thinks that you may hold this wine for weeks before you finish the bottle, and that refrigeration might keep the wine in better condition for that period of time...they may also be suggesting that the taste is improved if served chilled!
