Proper drinking of wine
Is it proper to leave a small amount of wine in the bottom of your glass and if so, why?

Not that I've ever heard of. Unless you're sacrificing to the god Bacchus. Maybe someone made up the story of it being a tradition one time when the wine they were served was too awful to finish but they wanted to be polite.
