Can unopened white wine that has been refrigerated go back to wine rack at room temperature?

There is no problem in returning an unopened white wine to a rack at room temperature once it has been refrigerated. I suppose there might be some possible negative effects if you were to alternate repeatedly between the two temperatures, but that is just speculation on my part based on the notion that "proper" storage calls for a stable temperature. And of course it depends upon the individual wine...
