Q&A: Wine, Food, Beer, Or Spirits Questions

Sale of Pressed Grape Juice

Where in North Carolina and or Virginia can I buy the raw grape juice that has been pressed and sold. I am only interested in Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot/ or any Italian Red varietals plus Chardonnay Grape juice. Are there Wineries that sell their excess to 3rd parties, and if so how do I contact them

Answer From Expert Roger C. Bohmrich, MW

We receive many questions concerning home winemaking. For this particular inquiry, I need to refer you to a winery in NC and VA. Perhaps someone is reading the Q&A who is involved with such a winery, or can put you in touch with someone who is? If not, then you can do an online search for wineries and start contacting them yourself. In the end, it may be your best strategy. Try virginiawine.org and visitncwine.com.
