Q&A: Wine & Food Questions

Alcohol
Should red wines with high alcohol content (15%) with proper storage last longer than red wines with normal alcohol (12.5 to 13%)?
Answer From Expert Neil Courtier
Not always. Acidity is a great preservative & in some high alcohol wines the acidity can be on the lower end of the scale.
