Diamond wines

Other than the Finger Lakes region of New York where else are Diamond wines produced? Thanks

Answer From Expert Roger C. Bohmrich, MW

Diamond, also known as Moore's Diamond or White Diamond, is an American white grape variety which is a cross of Concord and Iona. It is one of many such varieties that are obscure to most wine consumers, yet has its small band of adherents. There is very limited acreage of Diamond, mainly in New York and Pennsylvania. Like Concord, the vine is able to withstand very low winter temperatures.
