wine appropriate with pizza
I am having a casual gathering of friends. we are having pizzas from our favorite establishment. would like to know wines that compliment. thank you.

Casual + pizza suggests basic red wines, and if the pizza has a typical tomato sauce, then firmer, drier reds often work well.
Staying in the Italian mood, try basic Chianti and other Tuscan Rosso bottlings, Barbera, Nero d'Avola or Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. Any straightforward California or Australian Cabernet and Syrah/Shiraz should be complementary as well.
