Here are some wines which I think can work with chili: Grenache-based reds in general including Spanish Garnacha; red Cotes du Rhone and related Southern Rhone appellations; Primitivo; Argentine Malbec; Montepulciano d'Abruzzo; and many Syrah and Shiraz bottlings.

He set up and managed Millesima USA, a New York merchant affiliated with a leading European company. Previously, he served as senior executive of importers Frederick Wildman & Sons.
