Alan Uchrinscko
Following education at the University of Chicago, Alan Uchrinscko quickly found a home at New York's Burgundy Wine Company, explaining the complicated world of Burgundy to customers from around the world. He later became Assistant Vice-President of Christie's North American Wine Department. After returning to his Southwestern Pennsylvania home, he became Sommelier at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort’s Lautrec Restaurant, the only AAA Five-Diamond Award Winning Restaurant between Philadelphia and Chicago. He currently manages the Wine & Spirits program at Nemacolin, overseeing the largest wine cellar in the state of Pennsylvania as well as Nemacolin’s unequivocal Academie du Vin where he holds a multitude of wine tastings, ranging from Italian Food & Wine, Beers of the World and Understanding Scotch. He has hosted countless tastings and seminars for institutions as varied as the New York Stock Exchange, Columbia University Law School and West Penn Hospital and was described by the New York Times as "...an enthusiastic, plain-spoken fellow who talks about wine the way a Knicks fan talks about basketball..."
