Oenophile and Tyrophile since 1972, I teach wine and food pairings, wine and cheeses of the world, applicable to language courses - pairing regional French Cheeses with French Wine Regions and other lesser known areas. I assisted Joseph Swan in the vineyards and winery in the early 70's. Was 1'st assistant to Joel Peterson initiating Ravenswood through 1978. Tasted weekly at the Basque Hotel Thursday night wine club for 7 years with such dignitaries as Harry Waugh. Completed a Wine for Health Course at Oxford, Champagne and Bordeaux in 1981, studying the application of wine as a prescription for health used in Europe, but removed from American Medical Schools during prohibition. I am a Registered Nurse, home winemaker and brewer, own and share a cellar of over 500 wines aging well. Publish with my husband, Bob, recipes and a restaurant review page on our web site as Boise "Foodies". Contemplating taking the MW course. I continue my wine education by reading, tastings and membership in the Treasure Valley Wine Society.
