Weim & Cheese Fundraiser to benefit the Mile High Weimaraner Rescue
A Fall Combo Festival In Denver, Colorado
Mile High Weimaraner Rescue (MHWR) is a Colorado-based, nonprofit, all-volunteer organization providing medical care, transportation and temporary housing to Weimaraners in need.
As an all-volunteer organization we rely solely on foster homes and volunteers to help place purebred Weimaraners in permanent homes.
Expenses we incur include medical care, spay/neuters, microchipping, heartworm testing, behavioral treatment/rehabilitation, and vaccinations.
During the past 5 years we have placed over 450 Weimaraners in permanent homes and provided over $90,000 in veterinary care and $17,000 in boarding fees.
At least 90% of the proceeds from the Weim & Cheese event will be dedicated to rescue services.
We seek to provide for the rescue, care, and adoption of lost, surrendered and homeless Weimaraners as well as provide public education about the breed and responsible Weimaraner ownership.
