Art & Wine Fusion – Nights in White Salmon
The entire Columbia River Gorge community and beyond eagerly anticipates one of the annual premier summer event held early in July each year.
We've have a full day of exciting and family-friendly activities, great local food, renowned local entertainment, top-notch local artists displaying their art throughout the town, award-winning winemakers hosting tasting of their incredible local wines, and all the warmth and beauty of an early summer day in the Gorge.
Where: Downtown White Salmon (Jewett Blvd between Estes and Main)
Who: Artists, vintners, chefs, musicians, crafts people, entertainers, and well over 1000 guests
What: A one day Gorge community event celebrating the glorious art, wine, food and summer in our unique part of the Columbia River Gorge. We feature carefully chosen, highest quality local art and artists, wines and winemakers, foods and activities that reflect our unequaled local setting. Downtown will resound for this one day with:
Salmon Cookoff -featuring renowned local restaurants, caterers and regionally recognized gourmet judges.
Competitive Bike Race -a grueling climb up Dock Grade and the Snowden area, finishing at Everybody's beer garden.
Local food booths – selected for unique taste and quality.
Local artist's booths – locally made, quality crafted pieces.
Local musicians – well-known, popular and entertaining.
Kid-friendly activities in a kid-friendly environment
Bike parade, Street chalk garden, Balloon-animals, More
Kayaks on Wheels – decorated kayaks, costumed teams
Shops, galleries and businesses hosting:
Local art and artists – with displays and demonstrations presented by the artists themselves
Award-winning local wines – tastings poured by master winemakers from our great local wineries
Cost: Entrance to the event is FREE to all, and of course children are welcome. Adult wine-tasting packages (wine glass, 5 tasting tickets and a wristband) cost only $12.50 pre-event or $15 at the event. Tasting packages can be purchased pre-event online at LocalWineEvents.com or at local stores on both sides of the Columbia. Remember to bring your ID along with your purchase voucher to the event ,as we will be checking ages before distributing wine-tasting packages.
