Big Red Liquors Wine and Food Festival
A Spring Wine Festival In Bloomington, IN
The Annual Big Red Wine and Food Festival will be held in late March at the Bloomington Convention Center from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This is Bloomington’s premier annual wine event with over 300 selections from all over the world. “It is the best opportunity in town for wine lovers to try new releases from the world of wines before buying” says Bobby Wallace, Big Red Wine Director. Terry Fischer, a long time attendee of the festival said, “I always enjoy tasting the large variety of wines and I would recommend it to anyone with interest in wine, but most especially those just beginning to appreciate wine.”
Big Red has sponsored this event for nearly twenty years and the festival now includes many local restaurants where Bloomington chefs showcase their menus with samples that are included in the price of admission. As with all Big Red festivals, all proceeds are paid to local Bloomington direct action charities such as the Boys and Girls Club, Martha’s House, Wonderlab and others.
Tickets to the event may be purchased at any Big Red Liquor store after February 14th or by calling the Big Red Liquors corporate office at 332-9495. General admission tickets are $30 each or may be purchased at a reduced price of two for $50 for couples and groups. For the Reserve Room, which features more expensive wines and an extra half hour of tasting time, tickets are $50 per person.
