Litchfield Hills Harvest Festival

Since 1991, the annual grape harvest has been celebrated at the Litchfield Hills Harvest Festival, held annually on the third full-weekend of September. This family-friendly festival features hay rides, pony rides and grape stomping contests for kids; shopping, wine sampling and winery tours for adults; plus hearty harvest fare for everyone. The Wine Garden serves Haight-Brown Vineyard wine by the glass, plus there\'s a menu of hearty harvest fare and nonalcholic beverages. Covered table seating is available, plus guests are invited to picnic on the grounds with their lawn chairs and blankets. From artisans with hand-crafted treasures to purveyors of gourmet food products, there are a myriad of vendors selling their wares at this New England outdoor festival. In addition to shopping, adults will enjoy guided tours of the winery, wine sampling in the tasting room and strolls on the vineyard walk. Childrens\' activities include grape stomping contests, old-fashioned hay rides, pony rides and tug-of-war contests. Grounds admission fee (food & beverage not included); free parking.
