Logistics:

Orientation available March 9th.  Program runs March 11th - May 19th.  Attend 9 weekly classes on your schedule Monday - Sunday with assignments due Wednesday and Sunday.

Program Description:

The Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) is an internationally recognized credential conferred by the Society of Wine Educators (SWE), which has branches in countries around the globe. Obtaining the CSW demonstrates your mastery of wines of the entire world and can help you launch or further your career in wine. It is also a mandatory prerequisite for SWE’s top credential Certified Wine Educator (CWE).

Our 9-week CSW Online program was created by Master Sommelier David Glancy to fully prepare students for the notoriously rigorous CSW exam. David knows CSW better than most.  He is one of only 12 Master Sommeliers in the world to achieve SWE's top credential - Certified Wine Educator.   He also sits on the Board of Directors for SWE.

The program covers wine tasting, terminology, composition, chemistry, flaws, viticulture, enology, labels, laws and wine regions of the world. Each week students will tackle a new subject in our virtual classroom with an industry leading instructor, engage in discussion with their peers, and complete in-depth tasting assignments.  Throughout the program, you'll expand your network with wine professionals and serious enthusiasts from all over the world.  Students will have access to Virtual Lectures given by Master Sommelier David Glancy, in addition to the official Society of Wine Educator's CSW Study Guide, and the society's Online Wine Academy
