Located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, across from the historic Blanco County Courthouse in Johnson City, TASTE Wine + Art is a perfect venue for sipping wonderful new wine discoveries while enjoying wonderful contemporary fine art. Wines from Texas and the world are offered by the taste, glass, bottle or case. Carefully chosen by co-owner Warren Vilmaire, there are over 50 different wines from which to choose. The gallery represents over forty fabulous artists, mostly Texans, chosen by curator and co-owner Susan Kirchman, a retired university Art Professor. Besides the large Main Gallery, in which the art is changed completely at least every six weeks, a lush Sculpture Garden showcases outdoor art works alongside a lovely creek with graceful old pecan, oak and cypress trees. Besides seating in the gallery, a large screen porch provides a peaceful spot in which to enjoy the wine, the wonderful outdoor sculpture and the beautiful setting, when the weather permits. Open every day except Tuesday and Wednesday, this is a delightfully lush hidden oasis in which to enjoy delicious wines and exquisite contemporary art.
