I have worked in the wine industry all my life, primarily as director of sales & marketing at Nevada City Winery. I am a Certified Wine Educator and have taught wine classes at Sierra College since 2004. In 2009 I earned the prestigious Banfi Award from the Society of Wine Educators, given to the individual who achieved the highest score that year, on the Certified Wine Educator Exam while passing on their first attempt. I also write a regular wine column for the Union newspaper in Grass Valley.
