While America has been associated with bourbon (and just bourbon) for the past several hundred years, changes in domestic laws have led to a burgeoning of new distilleries that are giving whiskey powerhouses like Ireland and Scotland a run for their money — it's time to explore the evolution of whiskey in this country, and exciting new direction it's heading in.

Join New York Adventure Club as we taste and learn our way through the history of American whiskeys, all inside former day hotel in the Upper East Side that was once a country escape for New Yorkers living in the crowded city at the southern tip of Manhattan during the 19th century.

Led by Kurt Maitland, founder of the Manhattan Whiskey Club and Deputy Editor of the Whiskey Reviewer, our unique experience at this intimate space in Manhattan will include:

  • An overview of American whiskey throughout the past 300 years
  • The 101 on some of the different distilleries of America, from storied brands to those trying to carve out a niche for themselves
  • A tasting of five different whiskeys from around the United States, including bourbons and ryes
  • A chance to mingle with other adventurers who enjoy whiskey as much as you do

* Must be 21 or older. ID will be checked at door.

**While snacks will be provided, we recommend eating beforehand

*** Ticket price is for educational demonstration with complimentary beverage tastings.
