Finally Bookcliff Vineyards has produced Petit Verdot for four vintages worthy of a library tasting. The acres planted in Petit Verdot in Colorado are so few that the annual grape survey groups Petit Verdot with Other. Petit Verdot is mighty in other ways though. In 2014 a Petit Verdot was awarded best wine in Colorado at the annual Governor's Cup wine competition and in 2015 two Petit Verdot wines were part of the Governor's Cup case. We will be tasting the 2012 through our current vintage of 2015.
