Please join us Wednesday, August 22nd, any time between 4:30-7:30pm, to meet the legendary Jean-Luc Hitta, one of the most recognized and admired Bordeaux specialists around. Consulting, teaching and inspiring every day, he brings his heart and spirit to us at the Ferry Plaza Wine Merchant while working for Southern Wines and Spirits in California.

Celebrated for his unquenchable passion and dedication, Jean-Luc earned one of the greatest honors in all of wine when he was awarded the prestigious ‘Commanderie de Bordeaux’ medal last year. To win, a person must be heralded by their peers and stand out for all of the many reasons why we love him.

Not only does his passion take him to the legendary cellars of Bordeaux where he selects the finest wines in all categories, but it makes him a revered educator to sommeliers throughout California.

The reports about the 2015 vintage were so good that we bought a broad but selective range of wines for our customers. While they are delicious and approachable now, they offer the staying power that delights even a serious Bordeaux collector.

What better night to enjoy Bordeaux than a cool summer evening in San Francisco! Jean-Luc has personally curated two distinct flights for you to choose from: one that showcases incredible values from lesser known producers that may not be on your radar (yet!), and the other which offers wines from the spectacular and illustrious château. We invite you to join us in exploring these unique flights and encourage you to bring friends to discuss, engage and learn. We are eager to see which wines will impress you the most and are confident that you will leave with a fresh perspective and appreciation for this historic and remarkable place.

The featured wines will be served as two ounce pours and five ounce glasses; the bottles will be available for retail sale while supplies last.
