These days, wines from South America have stepped out of the shadows of the earliest New World wine regions like California and Australia.  Argentina and Chile have led the charge, producing wines of greater and greater quality, and attracting world class wine making talent in the process.  As the South American wine industry grows, we are discovering exceptional quality in new and up and coming regions that all wine lovers need to know about.Join us on Wednesday, September 19th as we delve into new frontiers of South American wine and explore three regions that you’ll hear a lot more from in coming years:  Salta in Argentina and the Limari and Elqui Valleys of Chile.  With wines from leading producers in each area, we hope capture what’s best about the varietals we know and love, and see what new heights they might achieve in their new homes.  A Malbec that’s not from Mendoza?  Check.  Argentine sparkling?  Of course.  A dessert wine that makes your mouth water?  Oh, you know it.  Hope to see you there!

 The dinner will begin at 6:30pm and feature 6 bottles perfectly paired with five delectable Parizade dishes curated by Executive Chef Jason Lawless. We will be joined, and guided through our journey by Empire Distributors’, Dave Bangert. Bangert is a Certified Sommelier and Certified Specialist of Wine and will be an endless source of knowledge and impeccable guide during our evening. See the full 5-course food & wine pairings below! Trio Amuse

Spice Crusted Chicken Wing green chickpeas and yogurt

Second Course

Poached Sweet Shrimp chilled peach soup, rose water, mango, avocado, basil
paired with 2016 Colomé Estate Torrontés, Salta, Argentina

Third Course

Bacon Wrapped Pork Roulade corn and pebre sauce
paired with 2015 Elqui Red Blend, Elqui Valley, Chile

Fourth Course:

Chili rubbed tomahawk steak – charred scallions, roasted shishito peppers, fingerling potatoes, chimichurri sauce
with side by side pairing of: 2015 Colomé Estate Malbec, Salta, Argentina & 2014 Tabalí ‘Talud’ Cabernet Sauvignon, Maipo Valley, Chile

Dessert Course:

Seared Sheep Cheese orange and mulled dried fruit.
