With summer winding down, it’s time for our last dry rose tasting of 2018! Stop by, taste, and stock up on the best dry pink wines in town!

Asheville’s Best Free Wine Tasting – Just stop by – we’ve got plenty of free parking!

I don’t like the end of dry rose season. In fact, I don’t think there should be a dry rose “season.” I drink the stuff all year long, but as summer transitions into fall, the selections dwindle. So we’re saying goodbye to some of our favorite dry roses, and you’re invited to the going away party. Stock up and save big……and save some dry rose for Thanksgiving. Dry pink wines are super with the festive meal!

All of the featured tasting wines are 20% off by the bottle on tasting day only.

1. 2017 Domaine des Diables “Le Petit Diable” (Provence, France) – This heavenly, Provencal rose is in fine form again this year. 60% Syrah, with the balance in Cinsault and Grenache, it’s fresh, dry, and super aromatic. Look for notes of watermelon, grapefruit, lime zest, and green herbs.

2. 2017 Domaine des Diables “BonBon” Rose (Provence, France) –This, my friends, is one of the most intense, aromatic, and delicious roses in the house. From extremely old vines planted in 1914, this blend of Cinsault, Syrah, and Grenache screams out of the glass with notes of raspberry, pink grapefruit, citrus zest, and more.

3. 2017 Chateau Puech-Haut Tete de Belier (Provence, France) –Made almost entirely from a direct pressing of Mourvedre, the Tête de Belier Rosé is one of the finest dry roses produced in Southern France. Despite its pale color, this is a wine brimming with stone fruit flavors, minerality and a hint of garrigue and bay laurel. Like many of the wines from Bandol – the inspiration for this cuvée – the Tête de Belier can age well in bottle, but who would want to wait?
