Spuntino Wine Bar & Italian Tapas In Westbury To Host Summer Rosé Brunch

Spuntino Wine Bar & Italian Tapas, specializing in small plates that put modern twists on Italian classics and fine wines from around the world, is combining two summertime staples for foodies: rosé and brunch. Guests are invited to enjoy its first-ever Summer Rosé Brunch at its Garden City location in The Gallery at Westbury Plaza on Sunday, August 26 at 1 pm.
Executive Chef, Ryan Keough, has developed a creative four-course brunch menu and perfectly paired a refreshing glass of rosé with each dish that will complement its flavors. The full menu includes:
- Crab & Asparagus – Poached egg, grilled asparagus, candied bacon and blue crab. Paired with Urban Provence Rosé.
- Wine Tasting Notes: Bright and shiny with hints of rose gold. Fresh and youthful aromas of wild strawberry, white blossoms and raspberry with hints of white pepper. Juicy and well structured, this dry rosé offers tart cherry and floral
- Boursin Omelet – Creamy Boursin and chives, rosti potato, fresh black pepper. Paired with Bedell Taste Rosé.
- Wine Tasting Notes: Pale salmon color. Fresh and balanced, this handcrafted wine is made from a unique blend of estate-grown Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and petit Verdot. It is lively with floral aromas and flavors of grapefruit and wild strawberries.
- Smoked Trout & Wild Mushroom – Pickled shallots, sugar snap peas, wild herb vinaigrette. Paired with Piattelli Malbec Rosé.
- Wine Tasting Notes: Aromatic and intense, with a beautiful bright pink hue. It is a medium bodied wine that will seduce your senses with its floral aromas provided by the presence of Torrontés. Very fresh with a silky texture and hints of cherry and strawberry.
- French Toast Custard – Summer Berries. Paired with A to Z Sparkling Rosé.
- Wine Tasting Notes: Pale pink with juicy, ripe fruit aromas. Notes of strawberry, raspberry, watermelon, cherry, white peach, nectarine and apricot are joined by white flowers and a hint of creaminess.
