Wine aficionados, epicurean fans, and seekers of local art and authentic artisan crafts, it is time for the 8th Annual Barbera Festival on September 15th in Amador County! Fellow Barbera lovers, this is your event, and this year, it is going to be even better!
What is the Barbera Festival? It's an outdoor wine and food festival focusing on the classic Italian varietal, Barbera. Taste Barbera and Barbera based blends from more than 60 wineries from across California. Enjoy fantastic food prepared by acclaimed local chefs while listening to music from three local artists or stroll the offerings from over 30 artists and artisan crraftsmen.
In celebration of our eighth year, and to continue to provide a premier guest experience while enabling attendees to participate comfortably, and showcase a beautiful historic Barbera vineyard, the festival will be hald at the historic Terra d’Oro Winery (home of Montevina). This location features a beautiful meadow spotted with ancient oaks tucked among hillside vineyards. We hope to continue a tradition of a day of Barbera tasting like no other in California.
As in previous years, we will host nearly 60 wineries from all over California, including the Sierra Foothills, Paso Robles, Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino, Lake County, the Santa Cruz Mountains, Ventura County, Lodi and the Bay Area. Top area restaurants and caterers are already lined up to present Barbera-friendly cuisine. Come hungry, come thirsty, and come ready to indulge.
