Did you know that sake has been made for nearly 2000 years? Did you know that some of the best sakes in the world are served cold? And, did you know that sake might be the best, most versatile drink to pair with your food? We all know that sake is a natural pairing for seafood and sushi, but it's also a beautiful match for meat, stews, soups and salads.

Come explore the fascinating world of sake with sommelier, Christophe Bakunas, and learn how unique and utterly beautiful this beverage is. Discover how sake will define eating and drinking in a brand new way!

Along with the five varieties of sake you will taste in this class, you will also enjoy samples of Chicken Yakitori, Miso Soup, and Cucumber, Carrot and Nori Salad for delicious pairings.

About the Instructor: Christophe Bakunas has worked two and half decades in all facets of the wine and spirits world from owning/running a wine bar, producing wines and spirits in three wineries/distilleries on the West Coast to distributing alcohol nationwide as well as in Chicago. Christophe's passion for flavor and sharing knowledge is as strong today as it was 20 years ago. "The greatest gift the wine industry can give is a human awakening to the pleasure of sharing and exploring."
