Cheval’s journey began with the origin of their name – CHEVAL - which translates to “horse” in French. The owners, Donna and Dr. Randy Kaufman, were originally looking for a property for their champion show horses and stumbled upon their breath-taking location. The winery is located in the Eden Valley neighborhood of Escondido, California.
