Nick Goldschmidt’sfirst harvest was in his native New Zealand in 1982. By 1989, he’d begun to travel the globe to make wine...to New Zealand, Australia, Chile, United States, Argentina, Italy, Portugal, Mexico and Spain. Many of those years, he worked two-harvest seasons—the first part of the year in the southern hemisphere and the second part in the northern. In 2008, he and his wife Yolyn, established Goldschmidt Vineyards, and soon followed with a few other brands as well. Nick Goldschmidt now makes wine in seven countries and owns vineyards in five. The Goldschmidt family is growing the best grape varietals in the best places globally, they can be grown. It’s no wonder they’re producing exceptional wines with well-deserved reputations!
