Please join us on Thursday July 19th at 7 pm in the Spink Pavilion at the Missouri Botanical Garden for a Spanish Wine Dinner featuring Guest Speaker Sofia Barreto from Grapes of Spain. Sofia managed several Michelin-starred restaurants before moving to the supplier side working for wine importers. Grapes of Spain owner Aurelio Cabestrero selects high quality wines from small producers who reflect the true personality, quality and character of each vineyard and grape in their wines. Aurelio won the Ruinart 1993 prize as the Best Sommelier in Spain; Best Young Sommelier in 1994 by Wine and Gastronomic Magazine; and came in second place at the National Sopexa Competition of French Wines and Spirits 1994. Chef Grace Dinsmoor has created an authentic 5 course Spanish meal that has been perfectly paired to match the finesse, complexity and terroir of each wine.
