Let City Winery lead you on an informative and delicious tasting centered around Honig
vineyards! With roots dating back to the 1960s, Honig creates stunning wines deeply rooted in
the terroir of Napa Valley. Family owned and operated, Honig focuses on Cabernet Sauvignon
and Sauvignon Blanc. We will taste through a selection of each, and end with a delicious Late
Harvest wine that they are also creating. Heather Torres, Regional Manager for Honig, will be on
hand to guide you through the history, winemaking, and values of the family winery.
Heather Torres’ fondest memories of growing up in Miami, Florida include weekly
neighborhood family gatherings with freshly made food, where you could barely fit at the dining
room table because there were simply too many dishes. So, it was natural for Heather to gravitate
towards the hospitality field, where she felt most at home. Her first job was as a hostess in a local
neighborhood restaurant, and she remained in the industry, working at some of Miami’s local hot
spots for many years.
In 2010, while working for Seasons52, she discovered a passion for wine. In January of
2013, Heather left Miami to pursue a career as a Restaurant Manager in Sacramento, California.
Then, in early 2015, she joined Honig as Assistant Tasting Room Manager. Heather recently
moved into sales for Honig, responsible for the South East Region. When not working, Heather
loves to spend her time cooking and baking. She resides in Charlotte, North Carolina, with her
husband Jordan and her two American Bulldogs named Bella and Boe.
