A Selection of French Wines
Bastille Day
Saturday, July 14th
Trapp Family Lodge Wine Cellar
In honor of Bastille Day we will celebrate with a selection of French wines.
France is the original home of many of the grapes we are most familiar with here in the U.S.
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Syrah to name a few began their illustrious careers in various parts of France.
Wine production there goes back to Roman times.
They currently produce seven to eight billion bottles of wine per year.
We will taste two whites and three reds from five regions in France, all dry.
Price is $20. Please call or see the front desk to place reservations. 802 253-5742. Doors open @ 4:00. I suggest you arrive no later than 5:00 to avoid feeling rushed. People come and go during the tasting which is an informal walk around format. We end at 6:00
