Left Bank Brasserie in Menlo Park to Host a Franco Filipino Dinner

Left Bank Brasserie in Menlo Park will host a Franco Filipino dinner on Thursday, August 2 beginning at 5:00 p.m. with open seating continuing until 10:00 p.m. The $55.00 prix fixe meal with three courses will be served family style with all dishes except dessert brought to the table at once. The price excludes tax, gratuity and alcoholic beverages. The restaurant's regular menu will also be available that evening. The restaurant's Chef, Brendy Monsada, has created a menu designed to showcase and celebrate his ethnic heritage. Appetizers will include Pork BBQ with smoked pork belly and pork loin marinated in pineapple juice, and pickled papaya salad; Sizzling Pork Sisig with grilled pork belly, pork jowl, garlic, green onions, and palm vinaigrette; and Pancit Canton, traditional stir fried noodles, snow peas, soy kalamansi, carrots, celery, and green onions. The main courses, served with garlic steamed rice, will be Goat Kaldereta, slow braised natural and local goat stew with Chef’s special spice mix, sweet peas, red pearl onions, bell peppers, pineapple, savory tomato, and peanut sauce; Pritong Lapu-Lapu, crispy fried grouper, heirloom tomato salsa, and sweet chili gastrique; and Stuffed Jumbo Squid with natural ground beef, sweet Maui onions, young ginger, baby heirloom tomatoes, and sweet soy. For dessert, diners can enjoy Buko Pandan, coconut pandan, shredded young coconut, green jelly, multi-colored pearls, and young coconut cream and Warm Cassava Cake, freshly grated cassava, evaporated and condensed milk, young coconut milk, and white cheddar cheese.

Non-alcoholic kalamansi juice and pineapple juice will also be included with the dinner.
