Chicagoans will taste the flavor of down home this fall when urban meets rural! County Fair Chicago invites city dwellers and countryfolk to experience Americana with an urban twist as Six Corners Association fixes to blend the farm with the city for Portage Park’s newest event.
Stroll the Midway and graze on delicious, locally-made cuisine; pick up new skills from a variety of educational, interactive, maker-focused workshops; take in the sounds of bluegrass, rockabilly, and country jams humming from the stage; and, lace up your dancing shoes for a traditional barn dance once the sun goes down Saturday night.
No matter your preference – cowboy hats or baseball caps, riding boots or gym shoes – County Fair Chicago is serving up the best of both worlds.
WHAT: County Fair Chicago is a new festival that highlights great food and refreshments, craft beer, live music, and an artisanal market. The Fair adds a twist to the Chicago event scene by hosting various blue-ribbon competitions in the art, food & drink, garden, and community philanthropy categories. The whole family will have the opportunity to learn a new craft or skill from an assortment of artisans leading demonstrations and presentations. Street fest meets rooftop gardening meets organics from the ‘burbs. Sponsored by Binny’s Beverage Depot and SCA.

WHO: Six Corners Association (SCA) strives to enhance the thriving community of Portage Park through revitalization including Design, Promotions, Organizing and Economic Vitality. Six Corners Association established in 2005 as a Special Service Area (SSA) and one of Chicago’s Neighborhood Business Development Centers, helps business owners access resources to help their businesses grow.
