Please join us for a Riesling Renaissance!

Riesling may be the most misunderstood of all the noble grape varieties. Add to that a label that has lots of words that you can’t pronounce, multiple categories of styles and ripeness that make little sense unless you’ve done your homework, and you’re left with a wine that frightens most people away. To top things off, the general perception of Riesling is “sweet wine,” which further pushes the average wine drinker away.

Well, it’s time you got on board with the Riesling Renaissance, and this class/seminar is just the way to get you started. We will taste and talk about the entire gamut of German Riesling… from the razor-sharp, bone dryness of a GG, to the sumptuous decadence of an Eiswein. We’ll discuss the various soils found in the most prestigious appellations and the effects they have on the finished wine. And perhaps most importantly, we’ll show you how to read a German Riesling label, which are among the most descriptive wine labels in the world, once you know what to look for. Join your hosts Daniel Guajardo and Maria Garcia, our resident Riesling Freaks, and find out why Riesling is the wine all the cool kids are drinking!
