Add to that a label that has lots of words that you can’t pronounce, multiple categories of styles and ripeness that make little sense unless you’ve done your homework, and you’re left with a wine that frightens most people away. To top things off, the general perception of Riesling is “sweet wine,” which further pushes the average wine drinker away.
