Please join us Wednesday, June 27th any time between 4:30-7:30 pm, when we welcome husband and wife team Drew Huffine and Emily Virgil to our wine bar. Drew is co-owner and winemaker for Oakland-based Trail Marker Wine Company and will present a flight of their current releases.
Drew entered the wine world attending UCSB and living near Santa Barbara’s wine country. While pursuing a master’s degree at Cal State LA, Drew worked a harvest with winemaker Kent Humphrey of Eric Kent Wines and ultimately went on to work stints for Copain, DuMOL, Kosta Brown and Tuck Beckstoffer; yet it wasn’t until after he married Emily, that she convinced him it was time they create their own wine…With no mortgage and no kids, they figured “Let’s do it!” and ‘Trail Marker’ was born.
With grapes sourced from small, responsibly farmed and passionately cared for vineyards from Mendocino to Santa Ynez, Trail Marker’s winemaking style produces wines that are high acid, low alcohol, well-balanced expressions of these unique vineyards. The spirit of the name ‘Trail Marker’ reflects the search for these special places where man and nature meet, in a time and space that creates the essence of both vintage and vineyard in each and every bottle.

The featured wines will be served as two ounce glasses and the bottles will be available for retail sale while supplies last.
