Wines ranging from Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet will be explored. We will even feature a delicious Australian Sparkling Wine! Led by a representative of several Australian Wineries, you will enjoy a comparative tasting of varietals, estates, and locations, while enjoying a dinner curated by our Executive Chef, and paired by our Beverage Director, Vanessa Phillips. Learn about the many possibilities that Australia has to offer for your evening glass of wine.

Menu*:

Amuse

Scallop Ceviche

citrus / avocado / jalapeno / green tomato / shallot

Pewsey Vale Eden Valley Riesling

Intense fruit aromas of talcum and lemon lime fruit, with a hint of fresh pineapple overlaying dried herbs. The palate shows great length and depth with limes, a hint of pineapple, white flowers and fresh rosemary.

First

Spicy Corn and Maryland Blue Crab Chowder

red bliss potato / chile

Vasse Felix Margaret River Chardonnay

Light and fine, in touch with delicate citrus flavor, a hint vanilla biscuit and a zesty polished acid tang. It delivers a spotless palate that evokes a mouth-watering, river stone dryness coupled to a fine savory, silky texture.

Dalrymple Cave Block Chardonnay

Delicate white floral notes initially lift out of the glass before the more noticeable aromas of ripe fresh cut nectarine combines with nougat, hazelnuts and mixed dried spices. Flavors of nectarine and citrus form the core of the fruit characters, with brioche and crushed nuts adding complexity and a sense of texture.

Second

Rohan Duck Breast with Apple-Pomegranate Sauce

goat cheese-sweet potato mash / sautéed seasonal vegetable

Dalrymple Pipers River Pinot Noir

Generous red berry fruit aromas, hints of fresh cut plums and fine oak spice. The entry onto the palate of soft red fruits with ripe tannin structure support the sense of a warm vintage. Savory notes of dried meats and Provencal herbs add to the complexity after opening.

Kooyong Massale Estate Pinot Noir Mornington Peninsula

Gamey, wild berry and forest floor aromas offer richness and complexity on the nose. Sappy, sour cherry flavors with well-judged oak are framed by silky tannins and bright acidity.

Third

Filet Mignon

charred spring onion / mole

Yalumba Cigar Cabernet Sauvignon

This wine shows an intense complex bouquet of cherries and dark chocolate. There is lavender perfume and a touch of dried sage. The palate is typical of Menzies 'The Cigar' wines, opening with a burst of plush ripe fruit reminiscent of mulberry compote. These fruit characters build the wine in the mid palate where they are met with a complex hint of ironstone.

Ringbolt Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon

The wine opens with a lively and intense blackberry compote, progressing to rich dark chocolate characters and finishing with succulent tannins that continue the experience long after the wine has left your mouth.

Dessert

Local Artisan Cheese

orange blossom honey / fig preserves

Jansz Brut Sparkling

Honeysuckle and citrus scents are immediately apparent with slight aromas of nougat, roasted nuts and a sniff of strawberry from the Pinot Noir. Delicate fruits and creaminess wash through the mouth leaving a lingering finish of citrus and nougat.
