The Chefs’ House, in partnership with the Chianti Classico Consortium, is delighted to again welcome a group of outstanding Chianti Classico Winery Owners and Winemakersfor a live tutored tasting of their premium wines alongside a four-course dinner prepared by our team. Join us as we celebrate all things Chianti Classico with pairings featuring the premium wines of this legendary region of Italy.
From the Chianti Classico region in central Tuscany, this wine is famous throughout the world, and the Consorzio Chianti Classico is represented by the iconic Gallo Nero logo, depicting a black rooster inside a red circle. This Sangiovese-based wine was further developed into its modern recipe by Baron Bettino Ricasoli in the 19th century and firmly established by the Italian government as a Denominazione di Origine Controllata (DOC) regulation in 1967. Located between Florence in the north and Siena in the south, the Chianti Classico subregion is known for producing outstanding medium-bodied wines.
The evening will feature wines and special guests from Lornano Chianti Classico; Castello di Albola; Castello di Monsanto; Fèlsina S.P.A.; Castello di Gabbiano; and Ruffino wineries.
