Mandela International Day was launched in 2009, in recognition of Nelson Mandela’s birthday, and inspired by his call to act to change the world for the better.

It is a global movement to honour his life’s work, celebrating the 67 years he gave of his life to the struggle for human rights. The United Nations asks people around the world to devote 67 minutes of their time to doing good in his memory on this day, and now Vine & Dine is asking you to devote just 67 seconds to do good before our evening.
