What could be a more perfect way to spend a summer evening than strolling through a Vineyard! You will have just such an evening as we enjoy a vine to wine experience at Waltz Vineyards. Pennsylvania Wine Society’s July event will be a private wine tasting & vineyard tour at Waltz Vineyards. This is how we will learn how great wines are made by our 2-year winner of the top Pennsylvania Wine Excellence Award with a visit to the winery!
Beginning at the vineyard (weather permitting) PWS will be educated on the growth cycle of the vine and maintenance. Next, the members will be led to the Crush Pad where harvest and crush equipment will be explained. Proceeding into the tank room and barrel rooms, we will explain winemaking methods and barrel aging programs. Guests will be able to ask questions and taste Waltz wines throughout the tour. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes if you want to join the tour of the vineyards.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to purchase more wine if you wish, and you may feel free to bring a picnic or snacks to the event assuming a positive weather forecast—to enjoy outdoors. This will be a truly delightful evening you do not want to miss where we can enjoy combining a social event with obtaining wine knowledge.
